Is traditional media mortally wounded?
Is traditional media mortally wounded? Well to quote friend Emily Vaughn who is control of a $15 million dollar ad budget, " I spend a lot of money on internet marketing, but I'm still buying 4 radio stations deep in my key markets, along with outdoor and print". No traditional media is not mortally wounded, it's going to have to learn to live on less, a lot less. Like all of us are having to do in this economy. The big question I hear my tradional media peeps ask is "will it ever go back to the way it was?" That always invokes a question like "Do you mean before the internet?" The answer is No, it wont, but the good news is that we will see big corporate media ownership shrink. Which is good for everyone.
